GT Vision offer one of the largest ranges of microscope imaging and microscope image analysis software for use with microscope images and microscopy cameras. These products are backed up with expert support from us and our partners.
Software in this category is capable of controlling a camera mounted on a microscope, displaying a live image on the screen, capturing an image (or sequence of images) and storing images to disk. The captured images can then be annoted with scale bars (once calibrated) and lines and text can be added. Nearly all software packages in this category are also capable of many other imaging functions.
Image Analysis software is usually supplied with a range of necessary hardware accessories, not least being an image capture device such as a camera and often specimen movement devices such as a motorised microscope stage and motorised focus. These devices are usually controlled by the software and their actions are orchestrated to produce images that are then analysed.
Image analysis covers a vast range of applications in biology, materials, industry, crop science, medicine etc etc. Some image analysis software requires a great deal of user input to interpret what needs to be analysed. Automated feature detection and analysis is more popular but depends entirely on there being some computable difference between the object to be analysed and its neighbouring features and background. Metallurgical analysis and particle sizing are classic candidates for efficient automated analysis whilst many biological and industrial inspection tasks will inevitably require more interaction.
We offer all levels of image analysis products here and our staff are experts in this field.
This class of software overcomes the problem of the limited depth of focus of magnifying optics. It allows you to capture images at different focus points and then automatically analyses the 'z-stack' of images to produce one image that is a composite of all the focused regions it has found in each image. This image is crisp and fully in focus. GT Vision staff have a great deal of expertise in this application and can also offer hardware, under the control of the software, that will orchestrate the focussing and capturing of the images.
Image Montaging, also known as image stitching and image mapping, allows you to capture a series of overlapping adjacent images of a specimen and then it creates a single large, high resolution view of the entire scanned area.
There are numerous variants of this software, some control motorised stages and focus systems whilst controlling a camera to capture at each point. Some achieve the capture and stictching in real-time whilst the specimens are moving.
GT Vision offers all types of software and supplies all the hardware needed to achieve the best montaged image in the fastest possible time that your budget permits.
Software in this category can be used to visualise your specimen in 3 dimensions. Te exact type of representation that you can obtain depends on the image capture device and methods used.
